Default So with the release of factions...

Is getting gold a little easier this time around? I quit guildwars due to the massive amount of grinding necessary in order to get the 15k armor and uber weapon skins etc...is it still like that?

ugh...

First off there are no "uber" skins...really. And if you are anywhere near the standard point of human stupidity, you should understand that if it was so "easy" to farm up the 60k+ that is needed for the armor, it wouldnt be so special! For example: If everyone could play basketball as well as Michael Jordan or Lebron James, then they wouldnt be famous or make as much money as they do, for the simple reason that EVERYONE would be doing it.

Secondly, unless you have your "uber" amounts of gold, you shouldnt even be thinking of buying a 15>50 crystalline or whatever you ARE thinking of. Also, you dont need "uber" skins to be good. A collectors sword will do just as much dmg as that 15>50 fellblade or whatever your mind is on now.

Lastly, you shouldnt quit a game just because you cant get what you want. Games are meant to be challenging, and to have EVERYTHING you want is NOT GOOD. For the simple reason, that if you have everything, then what is the point of playing, The designers dont want you to quit, so they implement more and more challenges. If you are not up to these challenges and expect to get everything you want by just clicking your heels, then you are sadly mistaken my friend. If you do not want challenges, and then experiecne of trying to reach yor goals over time, then I would learn to love sitting in a cardboard box my friend.

Um...

After beating the game if you do not like PvP the only thing left is to item collect really. And if it takes weeks or months to get said item many players will go why bother and move onto another game they have fun playing, rather than doing repetitious grinding in.

hahaha....making gold in cantha is 200 times easier, you get gold from quests, and uber weapons are not a total rarity anymore...i suggest coming back to Guild Wars.

Or it could take a day and then you will quit because you got all of the super amazing rare stuff(that everyone will have because its easy to get)in a day and will have nothing left to do

the moral of the story: like pvp

On the flip side the market pretty much crashed, and when mat prices level out they will all be on the low end. No more sup absorbs for quick cash, and the green market is almost entirely dead. So sure you get a little trickle coming in, but no more of that 100k in a week of casual farming stuff.

Haha, yea. Sup vigor is now worth more than sup abs (last i checked). And both are under 40k. And the material prices are shot. Just wish bones would jump like tanned hide squares did. Man, those things became freakin' expensive. Good thing i had a stock pile for making armors with. o.O

I hope that the prices on those drop. Oh, and last i checked, monk sup runes costs had been cut in half. :O

However, it does seem that money flows in a bit easier than in Tyria, though it feels like i get less drops. It seems that every quest gives ~3k exp and around 150-300 gold...and there are a LOT of quests. Also, beating missions also gives gold.
